Peer Review Process

The editor makes an initial appraisal of each manuscript. If it seems potentially appropriate for the journal, the manuscript goes to a review process. Once the review process has been completed, decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript is made by the editor.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

International Review of Humanities Studies is a peer-reviewed journal committed to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics. In order to provide our readers with a journal of highest quality, we state the following principles of Publication Ethics. All articles not in accordance with these standards will not be considered for publication. International Review of Humanities Studies reserves the right to use plagiarism-detecting software to screen submitted papers at all times. The decision to which articles should be published is fully depends on editorial board’s decision. The editor may confer one another or with reviewers in making their decisions.

 

Authors:

  1. Authors should adhere to publication requirements and author guidelines.
  2. Authors must ensure that they have written original works.
  3. Authors are responsible for language editing before submitting the article.
  4. Article/manuscript has not been published elsewhere and does not submit to other journal(s) during the review process.
  5. Authors must notify the International Review of Humanities editorial board of any conflicts of interest.
  6. Authors should take responsibility for submitted and published work.
  7. All articles/manuscripts must be submitted using online submission procedure.
  8. Author(s) agree(s) to the license agreement before submitting the article.

 

Editorial Board:

  1. Editorial board must ensure a fair peer-review of the submitted articles for publication and must disclose any conflicts of interest.
  2. Editorial board must evaluate manuscript only for their intellectual content.
  3. Editor-in-Chief of International Review of Humanities Studies will coordinate the work of the editors and journal manager.

 

Reviewers:

  1. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on content without regard to sex, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, political philosophy, etc. of the authors.
  2. Reviewers must ensure that all the information related to submitted manuscripts is kept as confidential and must report to the Editor-in-Chief if they aware of copyright infringement and plagiarism from the author’s manuscript.
  3. Reviewers must be objective and constructive in their reviews, refraining from being hostile or inflammatory and from making libelous or derogatory personal comments.
  4. Reviewers declare all potential conflicting interests, seeking advice from the Editor-in-Chief if they are unsure whether something constitutes a relevant interest.
  5. Reviewers must keep information pertaining to the manuscript confidential.
  6. Reviewers recognize that impersonation of another individual during the review process considered as a serious misconduct.
